You Gotta Reap Just What You Sow

I've blogged "Reap What You Sow" before.
My total scepticism of the supernatural is probably well accepted now, by those who know and maybe care about me. But I just love Clapton's guitar playing on "Further on up the Road". It's kinda feral stuff. Intuitive, compulsive original and originating from some primordial soup that is just there, there to be taken, there to be given. I always thought that it was written by some old Blues legend. Sonny-Boy whats his name, or Leadbelly-jelly-roll-Morton or whoever. So I was quite surprised to find out that it's a Clapton composition. He doesn't write much stuff. He mainly interprets!

Further on up the road someone's gonna hurt you like you hurt me
Further on up the road someone's gonna hurt you like you hurt me
Further on up the road baby, just you wait and see.

You gotta reap just what you sow, that old saying is true
You gotta reap just what you sow, that old saying is true
Just like you mistreat someone, someone's gonna mistreat you.

Youv'e been laughing pretty baby, someday you're gonna be crying
You've been laughing pretty baby, someday you're gonna be crying
Further on up the road you'll find out I wasn't lying.

Check out Johnny Cash version of same title.
But written by Bruce Springsteen!! V Good and worth a listen.
